Cosa accade in Libano
Da più di un mese ormai il Libano del Sud e Beirut, sono di nuovo sotto attacco da parte di Israele, con l'intento di annettere il sud del Paese.
Ad oggi, all'incirca 900.000 persone hanno abbandonato le loro case non sapendo se potranno mai farvi ritorno, con la minaccia sempre incombente di essere vittima di bombardamenti indiscriminati.
Noi come PCB siamo legati a Beirut e a Shatila, campo profughi palestinese nato nel 1948 a seguito della cacciata dei residenti dalla Palestina. Proprio a Shatila nasce, presso il Palestine Youth center, il progetto di sport popolare Sport Beats Borders creato da coach Majdi Adam, che sarà con noi in collegamento dopo la proiezione del documentario "Price of love in Shatila", che racconta delle difficoltà del progettare una vita da parte di una coppia palestinese nel campo.
A seguire la serata prevederà una cena di autofinanziamento, per raccogliere fondi da inviare per il supporto delle popolazioni del sud del #libano costrette a vivere da profughi nelle strade di #beirut .

For over a month now, southern Lebanon and Beirut have once again been under attack from Israel, with the aim of annexing the south of the country.
To date, around 900.000 people have fled their homes, not knowing if they will ever be able to return, with the ever-present threat of falling victim to indiscriminate bombing.
We as PCB have close ties to Beirut and Shatila, a Palestinian refugee camp established in 1948 following the expulsion of residents from Palestine. It was in Shatila, at the Palestine Youth Centre, that the community sports project Sport Beats Borders was launched by coach Majdi Adam, who will be joining us remotely after the showing of the documentary ‘Price of Love in Shatila’, telling the story of the difficulties faced by a Palestinian couple in the camp as they try to build a life together.
The evening will be followed by a self-financing dinner to raise funds to support the people of southern Lebanon who have been forced to live as refugees on the streets of Beirut.
